This is equivalent to a guilty verdict in the criminal system, except that civil liability usually means that the party at fault pays money damages to the other party, whereas the guilty party in a criminal suit may have to go to prison.
Product Safety Recalls
Sometimes sale of the item is banned. A manufacturer may establish a recall program that asks consumers to return the defective item for replacement or repair.
Prescription Drug
Any donated, previously dispensed, prescription drug Shall not have been adulterated, misbranded, or stored under conditions contrary to standards established by the United States Pharmacopoeia or the product manufacturer.
Service bulletin
Allows dealers to repair the problem at no cost to the customer even if the warranty has expired. A service bulletin notifies the dealer of the problem and how to resolve it.
